Committee on Finance. - Transport Bill, 1955—Money Resolution.

I move:—

That for the purpose of any Act of the present session to amend the Transport Act, 1950, and to make further provision in relation to railways it is expedient to authorise:—

(1) the advance out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof of any moneys from time to time required by the Minister for Finance to meet sums which may become payable under any guarantee given by him under such Act;

(2) the charge on the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof of the principal of and interest on any securities issued by the Minister for Finance;

(3) the repayment to the Central Fund out of xmoneys provided by the Oireachtas of any amount outstanding in respect of moneys advanced out of that fund to meet sums which may become payable under any guarantee given by the Minister for Finance; and

(4) the treatment as a non-repayable grant of a repayable sum of £2,462,369 advanced to C.I.E. for capital expenditure.
