asked the Taoiseach if he will state the total home production and the total imports of artificial manures in each of the years 1953, 1954 and 1955.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Artificial Manures.
The total home production of artificial manures in the year ended 30th June is estimated at 218,200 tons in 1953, 289,000 tons in 1954 and 286,000 tons in 1955. I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing imports of fertilisers in the three years 1953 to 1955. The quantities shown in this statement include fertilisers imported for further processing by the home industry.
