The figures given for each item relate to all wage earners employed by the board as it would not be possible to give separate figures relating solely to the production of turf. The figures given for workmen's compensation claims payments and common law claims payments represent the total payments made in each year without regard to the dates on which the claims arose or the outstanding liability at the end of each year.
