NOTE 1. The Ballingarry Colliery in the Slievardagh Coalfield, Co. Tipperary was transferred to private enterprise with effect from 2nd February, 1953. There was, therefore, no payment of wages or insurance premiums by Mianraí Teoranta after that date, but a number of outstanding compensation claims had to be settled after that date.

The mineral deposits at Avoca were leased to St. Patrick's Copper Mines, Ltd. with effect from 1st October, 1955. There was, therefore, no payment of wages or insurance premiums by Mianraí, Teoranta after that date, and it is understood that there are no outstanding compensation claims awaiting settlement.

NOTE 2. Mianraí, Teoranta themselves carried the insurance in respect of the first £5,000 in respect of any one accident.
