Vol. 159 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inchicore Vocational Schools.

asked the Minister for Education whether, in view of the fact that the new vocational schools in course of erection at Emmet Road, Inchicore, Dublin, are nearing completion, he is now in a position to state whether a date has been fixed for the opening of these schools, and the courses of study it is proposed to pursue therein.

No date has yet been fixed for the opening of the new vocational schools at Emmet Road, Inchicore, but it is hoped that the work will be sufficiently advanced to permit of occupation in October next when it is intended to commence a day junior technical course for boys, comprising woodwork, metalwork, drawing, science, Irish, English, physical training and religious knowledge. Suitable evening courses for adults will also be introduced.
