I am informed by the E.S.B. that the Derrycastle area, which includes Ballina, has been considered by the board on a number of occasions for development under the rural electrification scheme but has not so far been selected as its returns have not compared favourably with those for other areas still awaiting development in the Limerick district. The area will be reconsidered in due course and the decision of the board will depend on how its returns then compare with those for other areas awaiting development in the Limerick district.
