asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the amount allocated in the current financial year to North Tipperary County Council for the purpose of providing loans under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts.

A loan of £40,000 from the Local Loans Fund was sanctioned in March, 1955, to enable the county council to make advances under the Small Dwellings Acquisition Acts. £39,475 of this loan has been issued to the council including a sum of £19,475 issued in the current financial year. An application for a further loan of £23,385 for the purposes of the Acts is at present under consideration.
