Vol. 165 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Facts For International Monetary Fund.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the facts supplied by him to the officials of the International Monetary Fund.

The facts supplied to the officials of the International Monetary Fund were statistics and other published data required for an assessment of the trends in agricultural and industrial production, employment, national income, savings and investment, price levels, public finance, banking and credit, international trade and the balance of payments and in the country's economic activity generally. They were also given details of exchange control arrangements as at present operated.

Do I understand that no facts were given, except such as are contained in published documents?

They were all based on published tables.
