Ceisteanna—Questions. - Dublin Housing Requirements.
The determination of an estimate of housing needs is primarily a matter for the housing authority. A general survey of housing conditions in Dublin City was carried out by the corporation in the period from 1954 to 1956. The observations of my Department in regard to the findings of that survey were communicated to officers of the housing authority in January last, but I have not yet been furnished with the views of the Dublin Corporation in the matter. In the circumstances I am not in a position to supply the information required by the Deputy.
