Vol. 171 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - North Kerry Land Schemes.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of the widespread dissatisfaction existing among a large number of applicants for grants under the Land Project and land rehabilitation schemes in North Kerry, particularly in respect of applications lodged over 12 months, at the undue delay in carrying out the necessary inspection of the proposed works; and if with a view to bringing applications up to date, additional inspectional staff will be assigned to the area affected.

I am aware that in North Kerry, as in other areas, there are arrears in the investigation of applications under the Land Project. Some delay is unavoidable, but the Deputy may rest assured that inspections will be speeded, up as much as possible.
