Vol. 172 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hired and Family Farm Labour Units.

48.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state in a form similar to that given in a reply of 17th June, 1958, the number of hired and family labour units per farm, according to size, revealed in the National Farm Survey, 1956-1957.

The data required by the Deputy have already been published in the Interim Reports of the National Farm Survey. The following table shows, for each size group, the number of family and of hired labour units per farm for the year 1956-57 on those farms included in the matched sample comparing the years 1955-1956 and 1956-1957. Separate particulars for male hired labour were not extracted in respect of 1956-1957.
