Vol. 173 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Allotment of Garristown (Dublin) Estate.

10.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that portions of the McGirr estate, Garristown, County Dublin, were allotted to a number of families from County Clare; and if he will state why the Land Commission did not satisfy the claims of local applicants for allotments on this estate.

No part of this estate has yet been allotted. The claims of all local applicants will be fully considered when the lands are being allocated.

Is the Minister aware that certain families were invited to inspect the buildings and the lands for which they are being considered and which they believed they would get? Is he further aware that there are 5,000 uneconomic holders in County Dublin and at least 50 in that locality?

I have already indicated to the Deputy that all claims will be fully considered.

Am I to understand from the Minister that no decision has been taken regarding the allocation of this estate?

I have already told the Deputy that the claims of all applicants will be fully considered. I shall not repeat it.
