It is not possible to forecast reliably the items for which tenders will be sought by the Controller of Stores in any future period as many of the contracts arranged by him are on foot of demands made by other Government Departments. It is expected, however, that the tenders to be invited in the near future will embrace a cross-section of the principal items normally ordered, namely, telephone and other engineering stores, motor transport and components, petrol and oils, cycles, clothing, mail bags and textile materials.
