Vol. 174 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Migration from West Galway.

32.

asked the Minister for Lands how many families the Land Commission propose to migrate from West Galway to the Midlands this year; and what townlands the families will migrate from.

So far, this year, four families have been migrated from West Galway to County Kildare; these were moved from the townlands of Letterdeskert, Rossaveel, Aille and Knock South. Three of these families moved into their new holdings yesterday evening. Another family with an address at Ballina, Minna, Inveran P.O., is expected to move to Kildare on Friday next, and it is hoped that perhaps a further six families from West Galway may be migrated before the end of the present month.
