The proposal in question was sanctioned in October, 1957.
I understood that subsequently the county council were required to furnish further details of the scheme and that such proposals were submitted to the Minister recently.
No; after the approval was given to the plans, the council instructed their engineer to prepare the necessary documents, the bill of quantities, etc. The council informed my Department on 5th of last month that these documents had been received and were being examined, but they have not yet been received by my Department.
Is further sanction for the proposal necessary from the Department?
It is.
