asked the Minister for Education if he will state (a) the names, location and dates of removal of the six schools in County Cavan which, as stated in a reply of 8th April, 1959, were removed from the official list of schools needing replacement during the period between March, 1958, and February, 1959, without being replaced, (b) the four such schools which received minor repairs, and (c) the number of pupils on the roll of each of the schools concerned (i) in March, 1958, and (ii) on the date of removal from the list.

It is a long established practice not to furnish in relation to individual schools information of the nature sought by the Deputy. This practice is inherently bound up with our system of education.
