asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of each county council (a) the effective road workers' wages as at 1st April, 1959, (b) the operative date in each case, and (c) the nature of proposals for increased wages, if any, now in his Department awaiting sanction.

The rates of wages of county council road-workers as at 1st April, 1959, and the dates on which these rates came into operation are set out in the following statement. There are no proposals for the grant of increases to county council road-workers awaiting sanction in my Department.
