asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the anomaly in legislation in regard to houses purchased by occupying tenants under the Housing of the Working Classes Acts and under the Labourers Acts; and if in view of the general anxiety of all parties to enable tenants to become the owners of their own homes he will introduce legislation in this session to enable tenants of urban houses to purchase on the same terms as are available to tenants in rural areas.
