Vol. 179 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Tipperary Estate.

61.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will consider the propriety of acquiring the Thornvale Estate, Toomevara, Nenagh, County Tipperary, for division amongst the small holders and landless men in the district.

The estate which the Deputy appears to have in mind is situated for the most part in Co. Offaly, with a small portion in Co. Tipperary. The Land Commission recently instituted proceedings for the acquisition of this property but it is still too early to indicate what the outcome will be.
