asked the Minister for Education what proposals are being considered in his Department for (a) the erection of new schools and (b) the reconstruction of schools in Dublin County; and what the present position is in each case, and the estimated cost.

The information requested by the Deputy is contained in the attached tabular statement.

A grant towards the cost of the new school has been sanctioned by the Department. Working drawings, etc., for the new school have to be prepared by the Commissioners of Public Works. When these have been completed the Commissioners will arrange for the invitation of tenders for the erection of the new school.
