Seanad Éireann has made the following Order:
That, subject to the concurrence of the Dáil, the Committee on Procedure and Privileges of the Seanad be joined with the Committee on Procedure and Privileges of the Dáil to consider the matter of a scheme for contributory pensions for members of the Oireachtas under section 6A of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) Act, 1938 (inserted by Section 5 of the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial and Parliamentary Offices (Amendment) Act, 1960) and, if the Joint Committee so thinks fit, subject to the provison that no charge on public funds may be imposed thereby, to make such a scheme.
