As the accounts of the Social Insurance Fund relate to financial and not calender years, the information requested as at the 1st January in each year cannot readily be given.
The amount standing to the credit of the Social Insurance Fund as at the 31st March in each of the years 1958, 1959 and 1960 was as follows:—

The fund consists of a Current Account and an Investment Account. The Current Account is managed and controlled by the Minister for Social Welfare and the latter Account is managed and controlled by the Minister for Finance.
