The allowances payable under the Army Pensions Acts to widows and children of deceased members of Na Buan-Óglaigh and the pensions payable under the Defence Forces (Pensions) Schemes to widows and children of deceased officers have been increased on three occasions since 1956; the latest increase was granted with effect from 1st August, 1960. The increases were—1956, 15%; 1959, 6%; 1960, 7½%. No further increases are at present contemplated.
