So far as the financial year 1959/60 is concerned all grants allocated to the local authorities in County Wexford were availed of in full. The expenditure incurred by Wexford County Council on the upkeep of their main roads was slightly less than they had estimated and, as this grant amounts to 40 per cent. of actual expenditure, the amount recouped was £341 less than that provisionally allocated.
Details of final expenditure by the local authorities in question, under the 1960/61 grants, are not yet available.
