I move:
That the Civil Liability Bill, 1960, be referred to a Special Committee consisting of seventeen Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection;
That the quorum of the Committee be six; and
That the first meeting of the Committee be held on 24th May, 1961.
It is understood that any memorandum made available to the Department of Justice by interested bodies will be made available to this Committee? I understand that that has been agreed.
I understood that that was referable to insurance companies but no doubt any others can be made available also.
That was the particular one, but if there are any others, they should be made available. If the Committee are going to do the job, they ought to do it properly.
