asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the livelihood of the Galway Bay oyster fishermen in the natural oyster beds at Maree, Clarenbridge and Ballinderreen has been taken away by the relaying there of contaminated oysters from other parts of the country for sale after 14 days as Galway Bay oysters; and if he will introduce legislation to preserve the market for pure Galway Bay oysters.

The answer to both parts of the Question is "No".
Is the Minister going to allow the traditional livelihood of the people of Maree, Clarenbridge and Ballinderreen to be wiped out by the relaying there of contaminated oysters while leaving the grand Galway Bay oysters to rot?
There is no danger to their livelihood if they eat either Galway Bay or Kerry oysters.
