Vol. 192 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Flooding in Tralee Districts.

75.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the severe flooding which has caused extensive damage to house property in the Green View Terrace, Castlecountess and Blennerville districts, Tralee, County Kerry, recently; and, if so, if he will now consider the possibility of immediate drainage of the River Lee.

Further study, including examination of the results of flood relief schemes being undertaken by the Tralee Urban District Council, will be necessary before a decision can be reached regarding the drainage of the River Lee at Tralee. I cannot say at present when a drainage scheme, if found feasible, could be undertaken.
