I am informed by the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Limited that, on the 31st October, 1961, 990 persons (624 males and 366 females) were employed in the factories on the Industrial Estate. In addition, 219 persons were employed in the Industrial Estate on building construction works, in the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Limited and in trading and commercial concerns.
As it is not the practice to disclose information about the private affairs of industrial concerns, I am not prepared to supply separate employment figures for each factory in the Industrial Estate.
