Vol. 192 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Playing Pitch for Galway Hurling Club.

34.

Mr. Donnellan

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will allocate a playing pitch to the Kilconieron Hurling Club in the Daly Estate, Dunsandle, County Galway.

I understand that an application by the hurling club for a playing pitch on this estate is on record and will be fully considered by the Land Commission before the lands are allocated.

Mr. Donnellan

Will the Minister tell me what "on record" means?

On the records of the Land Commission, in connection with the documents they have for the purpose of preparing a scheme for the division of this estate.

Mr. Donnellan

I am sure the Minister realises that the Kilconieron Hurling Club was the first affiliated to the G.A.A. I am sure he will not let them down, being a Mayoman. Mayomen are interested in the G.A.A., and I would ask him to make sure that it gets priority.

I can assure the Deputy it will be fully considered.
