The Galway Harbour Commissioners have recently submitted drafts of technical and legal documents which, under the conditions attached to the grant, require my approval. These documents are being examined as quickly as possible and replies to certain enquiries in this connection addressed to the Commissioners are awaited. When these points have been cleared up the Harbour Commissioners will be in a position to invite tenders for the work. I should make it clear that my Department has been awaiting these documents from the Commissioners since May, 1961.
