Vol. 193 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Souvenirs and Goods in U.N. Building.

59.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what action was taken by Córas Tráchtála Teoranta to have Irish souvenirs and Irish goods sold in the shop in the United Nations building, New York.

The information sought by the Deputy relates to the day-to-day administration of Córas Tráchtála and is, therefore, a matter on which enquiry might be made direct to that body by the Deputy.

However, I am informed by Córas Tráchtála that their New York Office is in frequent touch with the buyers in the shops referred to, and with the New York agents of Irish export firms whose goods might find a market in these shops.
