There are no current proceedings for acquisition of this estate. The possibility of a voluntary purchase of the property was considered by the Land Commission during the past year but negotiations were unsuccessful.
As this land has been derelict for the past couple of years would the Minister not have power to acquire it ?
I understand that a sale of the land has now taken place and, in the circumstances, the Land Commission would not have power to acquire it.
