The number of pupils studying agricultural science in recognised secondary schools was 813 in the school-year 1959-60 and 908 in the school-year 1960-61. The figure for 1961-62 is not yet available.

asked the Minister for Education the number of candidates in (a) the Intermediate Certificate and (b) the Leaving Certificate who took Agricultural Science, together with the number who passed in Agricultural Science, in each of the years 1958 to 1961 inclusive.
