There has been no holdup in so far as my Department is concerned in regard to the provision of a new school at the Convent of Mercy, Borris-in-Ossory, County Laois. A site was not offered until recently and the Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to furnish a report as to its suitability. It will inevitably take a considerable time before all the arrangements preliminary to the sanction of a grant can be completed. I cannot say when the work on the new school can be put in hands.
