The enforcement of the School Attendance Act is primarily a matter for the appropriate school attendance committee in the case of the County Boroughs of Dublin, Cork, and Waterford and the Borough of Dún Laoghaire. In all other areas it is a matter for the officer of the Garda Síochána designated for the purpose. I have no function in the matter.
