Many relatively new billet blocks are centrally heated and it is the policy to provide such heating in any future new buildings of this nature.
Heating in the older type barrack rooms is, however, provided by means of stoves and open grates. It is not intended to have central heating installed in these buildings, which were not designed originally for such installations, as it is considered that the cost of such work would be completely disproportionate to the benefits which could be expected from it.
