asked the Minister for Education whether he will take all necessary steps to ensure that the results of the current leaving certificate examination will be available in mid-July, and that the results of the current intermediate certificate examination will be available in midAugust, in order to facilitate parents in arranging for the further education of their children.

asked the Minister for Education whether special steps will be taken this year to expedite the publication of the results of the leaving and intermediate certificate examinations; and if he will give the likely dates of publication of the results.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 51, 52 and 53 together.
On the question of the expediting of the examining and of the issue of the results, I would refer the Deputies to my reply to a similar question from Deputy Flanagan on 14th February, 1962.
It is hoped that this year the leaving certificate results will be available by 10th August and the intermediate certificate results by 7th September.
