The information asked for by the Deputy is not available in respect of North Tipperary as statistics of contributory and non-contributory old age pensions are complied by my Department for the combined area of North and South Tipperary. In the case of contributory pensions, which commenced to be payable in January, 1961, quarterly figures are available only from 30th September, 1961. Figures of non-contributory pensions are collected annually at the end of each calendar year.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to furnish the available information in the form of a tabular statement to be circulated with the official report.
