The percentage increase in gross national product at constant market prices in each of the years 1959 to 1961, compared with the preceding year, was: 1959, 4.9 per cent.; 1960, 6.0 per cent.; and 1961, 4.0 per cent. At the present time only a rough preliminary estimate of the corresponding figure for 1962 can be given. The present expectation is that this figure will be somewhat over three per cent.
