The Commissioners of Public Works have informed me that they have not yet succeeded in acquiring a suitable site for a new Garda station at this centre. They are at present investigating two sites and, if either is considered suitable, immediate steps will be taken towards acquiring it.
Plans for the new station will be put in hands as soon as a site is acquired but it is unlikely that building will be commenced this year.
