I have nothing to add to my reply to a similar question from the Deputy on 13th December last. As I indicated then, the Government have no immediate intention of acceding to the Convention establishing the European Space Research Organisation. As the Deputy may be aware, this Convention has not yet entered into force, and accession is not open to nonsignatory states, such as Ireland, until after the date of entry into force of the Convention.
