No new appointments are required in the ranks of the Force from that of superintendent upwards.
Vacancies requiring to be filled in other ranks are inspector, four; station-sergeant, one; sergeant, six; and garda, ten. The filling of these vacancies is a matter for the Commissioner who is making the necessary arrangements.
The number of voluntary resignations from the Force from the 1st January last to date is 28.
