asked the Minister for Finance what Christmas relief schemes and winter relief work have been sanctioned this year for Dublin County constituency area through Dublin County Council; if he will indicate the amount allocated for each project; whether any similar relief schemes are approved for the Ballyfermot area through Dublin Corporation; and if he will indicate the estimated number of persons to be employed on such schemes.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Relief Schemes.
Particulars of the employment schemes sanctioned through Dublin County Council are set out in a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report.
Employment schemes in Dublin county borough are not assigned to any specified district and unemployment assistance recipients from Ballyfermot are eligible for employment on any of these schemes within a reasonable distance from their homes. The programme of works at present in preparation include two schemes at Inchicore of which the details are not yet available in the Special Employment Schemes Office.
