There have been discussions with the Northern Ireland authorities at Departmental level and between CIE and the Ulster Transport Authority about the implications of the recommendations in the Benson Report published in July, 1963. Now that the Northern Ireland Government have announced their policy on these recommendations further discussions are being arranged to consider the practical issues arising from them, including in particular the maintenance of satisfactory public transport services to and from Donegal.
