asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will give a list of existing industries which came to his notice as having been established without foreign participation since 1955.

I would refer the Deputy to questions answered by me on 16th November, 1961 and 30th January, 1964 giving particulars of (1) new industries and extensions to existing industries that came to notice as having commenced production in the period from 1st April, 1957 to 30th September, 1961 and (2) industrial concerns which came to notice as having been established with foreign participation since 1955.

Particulars of new industries and extensions to existing industries that came to notice as having commenced production in the periods from 1st January, 1955 to 31st March, 1957 and from 1st October, 1961 to 31st December, 1963 are set out in a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to have circulated with the Official Report. Some of the industrial undertakings listed may have ceased operations but information is not available in the records of my Department which would enable me to give particulars of any such undertakings.
