Vol. 212 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Service in Dublin Mountains Area.

80.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will direct his officials to make special efforts to provide a telephone service to applicants in the Dublin Mountáins area in view of the permanent threat of isolation which exists through recurring snowstorms in this district.

There are nine applications for telephone service from the area in question all of which were made this year. It is hoped to clear these applications in about six months. It would not be possible to arrange for earlier attention without interfering with more urgent requirements in the planned works programme.
