asked the Minister for Health if he will state, in the case of each local authority, the expenditure per head of the population of the county or county borough by the appropriate health authority.

As the information is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

EXPENDITURE per head of the population by the appropriate Health Authority in each County and County Borough in respect of the Year ended 31st March, 1964.

The foregoing figures represent averages based on total revenue expenditure by health authorities on recognised health services after deduction of ordinary revenue income (e.g. income from patients in respect of maintenance in institutions), and loan charges on borrowings. Half the expenditure is recouped to the health authority by the Exchequer.
