asked the Taoiseach if he will give details of the total amounts paid to dependants of deceased workmen under the provision of the Workmen's Compensation Acts during the five years ended 31st March, 1965.
The available information in relation to workmen's compensation comprises (1) Statistics of proceedings under the Workmen's Compensation Acts and (2) Statistics of compensation paid by insurance companies and certain large non-insured employers who pay a substantial amount in workmen's compensation.
With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving these data for the five years 1959-63. Information for 1964 is not yet available.
