Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14— Vote 47. It is proposed to take Vote 47 in conjunction with No. 12.

Might I inquire of the Taoiseach, in the light of his remarks yesterday at Clonmel, whether any legislation is proposed to deal with prices and, if so, if it is expected to be introduced this session?

The answer to both parts of the Deputy's question is in the affirmative.

Has the Taoiseach made up his mind whether he is going to have some system of price control?

That is the same question.

It was not clear from his speech. It looks as if he is locking the stable door when the horse has gone.

Is this an attempt to prevent wage increases?

I wonder if the Taoiseach would kindly clarify this? Did we hear him correctly, that the Government propose to introduce legislation before the summer recess for the purpose of introducing price control?

Does the Taoiseach think that the present machinery is inadequate and that we are going to have——

The Deputy can talk about the Bill when he sees it.

I was not at the dinner.
