asked the Taoiseach if he will state in so far as the information is available to the Central Statistics Office (a) the total staff employed by CIE giving the number in each grade for the years ended 1958 and 1959 and the year 1964-65, (b) the number of temporary employees in CIE during the year 1964, and (c) the periods for which these temporary employees were employed, giving salaried grades and wage grades separately.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - CIE Staff.
I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the numbers of staff, by grade, employed in CIE in a week in March in each of the years 1958, 1959 and 1964. The corresponding 1965 data are not yet available. This table gives all the relevant information available to the Central Statistics Office.
Following is the statement:
NUMBERS of staff by grade, whose depots or headquarters were situated within the State, employed by C.I.E. in a week in March in each of the years 1958, 1959 and 1964.
